There are 900 people at Leeds Building Society. All from different backgrounds, of varying ages and all with different aspirations. Here is a profile from one of our members of staff.

Name: Rebecca Hewitt Position: Direct Operations Mortgage Advisor Location: Direct Operations, Leeds

Like Kim and Michelle, Rebecca joined the Leeds Building Society as a Direct Operations Advisor and has been with the Society since January 2002. In late 2002 Rebecca joined the Leeds Building Society Financial Services team on a twelve month secondment as a telesales advisor on the outbound team. Rebecca says that this was a great experience and it helped her to develop her customer service and sales skills.

After the secondment, Rebecca moved to the Homeowner Loans team in Direct Ops as a Further Advance advisor. It was during this time that she completed her CEMAP course and became a registered Mortgage Advisor. As a result Rebecca is a Direct Operations Mortgage Advisor as well as being a Coach within the team.

Rebecca says:

“I’ve been given opportunities to work with various departments within Direct Operations and it’s given me good overall knowledge of the financial world and helped me to progress my career.
