Leeds Building Society appoints new manager in Birmingham

Antonia Murphy has been appointed as Branch Manager at the Birmingham branch of Leeds Building Society, at 33-35 Corporation Street.

She has 20 years of financial services experience, and was Assistant General Manager of sales at Ipswich Building Society where she worked for over 7 years. Prior to this, Antonia worked for 12 years at Lloyds TSB including 4 years at the Isle of Man offshore centre.

Antonia, who attended Altrincham Girls Grammar School, has a Diploma in Management and a wide variety of leisure interests.

She has recently been successful in her application to become a London 2012 Olympics volunteer, when she will be a mobility team member in the aquatics centre. Furthermore, Antonia used to volunteer at ‘The Big Splash,’ a swimming club for the disabled, before she recently relocated to Birmingham.

Commenting on her appointment as Leeds Building Society’s Birmingham branch manager Antonia said, "I have 20 years experience in financial services, and the leadership, enthusiasm and passion to be successful.

"I want to deliver the best service in the market place to our customers, whilst raising the profile of the Society in Birmingham and introducing many new members."
