Leeds Building Society has had a presence in the Irish mortgage market since 2006 and we are delighted to have an office for savings customers in Dublin.
Based in the heart of Leeds - the UK's main financial centre outside London - we have been helping people buy their own homes and save for the future since 1875. With 68 branches in the UK, a branch in Gibraltar, and over 670,000 members, we are the UK's 7th largest building society.
As a building society we are owned by our members and, therefore, the business is run in the interests of all our savers and borrowers. Every year, we invite our members to review how we are doing and to vote for the Directors who manage the Society on your behalf. At the last Annual General Meeting we received outstanding support with over 96% voting in favour.
Our sustainable, successful business model produced a 10% increase in pre-tax profits to over £63m in 2007 and the Society's assets now exceed £9bn, our best ever results. Our success is based on offering good value products backed up by excellent service. The feedback from our mortgage customers in Ireland has been very positive and we shall ensure that our savers receive the same high quality proposition.

Leeds Building Society is a member of the UK Building Societies’ Association. The Society is a participant in the Financial Services Compensation Scheme established under the Financial Services & Markets Act 2000. Payments under this scheme are limited to a maximum of £50,000 of an investor’s total shares and/or deposits in a society. Most investors are covered, including individuals and small firms. Euro deposits are covered. Further details are available on request from the Society. Leeds Building Society only offer savings products in Ireland that can be operated by post. Leeds Building Society is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority in the United Kingdom and our registration number is 164992.The Society is covered by the Financial Services Ombudsman. We may monitor and/or record your telephone conversations with the Society to ensure consistent service levels (including staff training).
